brief

Solar Farms NY commissioned Jenn Studio to refresh their online platform with a modern UI, improving the sign-up flow for a clearer and more efficient user experience, aimed at increasing sales.

Process

Formstack Limitations

During the design process, we encountered limitations with Solar Farms NY's current software, Formstack, which restricted our creative freedom by limiting where we could move elements. This affected our design of the default, focused, and error states. As a result, we had to adjust our design to ensure the theme was easy to roll out to accommodate these restrictions.

Initial Designs

Dynamic text inside input fields
Grouping and consolidating text into their respective input fields created a cleaner UI and reduced confusion about which input corresponded to each field.

Solution

Final Proposed Design

The new design refreshed the UI with a modern look that aligns with the clean energy brand messaging of Solar Farms NY. Improving the sign-up flow with a clearer hierarchy and formatting resulting in better more efficient user experience.
